Computer error message for the fan

This is the error message that cam up, anyone have any ideas on what caused it????

 

also is the warning that it may result in "data loss" could that actually happen?

Fan of that laptop is likely failing or then it's sucked in too much dust etc.

What system is that? All I can see that its HP. If you have still warranty, contact HP support (or store). If not, you may need to take it to repair shop.

 

With desktop system fan would mean case fan, but if thats laptop, its all fans. Some isn't spinning and causing this error. On desktop you can troubleshoot and repair it quite easily (if fans are using standard connectors). But with laptop you would probably need to change whole cooling solution. Not that hard, but actually finding right part is.

It's an error that can indicate a failing fan or a fan that's running at a rpm that's too low to detect. If you have this error, check to see if your fans are running. 

If it's just failing to read fan rpm, you can generally turn off the warning feature without issue.
