E-Gpu is worth it?

So Lets say i have non gaming laptop with i5-8250u and 8gbddr4 28000mhxz with gpu mx150 4gb

if i bought egpu like gtx 1050ti

 

will my perfomance increase greatly although my proccesor it's low pwer ( u series )?

what about the tension to my laptop?

and is it worth it for such money?

If you need it and want it then it's worth it.

That i5 should be more than enough. My 8250u with MX150 is not even half utilized in games.
