nah, there are no CPU upgrades for this machine. Faster CPUs (in comparison that is, still very slow) either has higher rated power draw or higher FSB, both means they arent supported upgrades.

Build a new rig.

Thats not a system you should upgrade ..or can upgrade.

220 watt OEM psu, not somthing you shuld reuse and is totaly underpowered for newer morep oerfull hardware.

The CPu is form 2008 .. total end of life socket platform.

As said above, the money you spend on upgrading this system would be better spend on newer hardware.  Even something simple like a refurbished Dell/HP office PC which can be had for under $100 with a core2 duo or even a first gen i3/i5 core (if you look hard enough).

Scrap that system and find a new one, even if it is an old office-PC from Ebay that has an i5 2400 in it.

nothing says you have to get rid of it. keep it around for a backup system to muck around in, without having to worry if something doesn't work and you have to wipe it. use it to learn linux maybe, or set it up as a media pc in the livingroom? give it to the kids. or the neighbours' kids.

visit every shady website on the internet and click every suspicious link, and then take it to the local computer shop and ask if they can fix it without wiping out your "super important data" and then laugh as they burst into tears... lol
