those are to connect the fans.

the cooler should have either a sata power cable or a 3pin connector that goes to the mobo

EDIT: something like this:

Just FYI the sata power cable is what actually powers the pump. The 3 pin cable is only to report fan speeds to your motherboard so that the motherboard will post, because some mobo's won't post if it doesn't detect a fan cable plugged into CPU_FAN or CPU_OPT.

Yea, sorry if I was a bit offensive, I just wanted to distinguish that the 3pin goes to the motherboard, but does not give the pump power, and that the 3 pin is for pump speed monitoring only.

no worries.

some 3/4pins actually do give power to the pump. example: Fractal S24/S36

''3 pin is for pump speed monitoring only'' well actually some coolers don't even have those but use USB instead.

this is why i said either of those connector because it depends on the cooler design.

this is also in the manual if OP had looked.

The H100i v2 is directly powered by the 3-pin header. It does not have SATA power. Make sure the header provides a stable 12 V DC input. i.e. no fan curve.
