Help, portuguese speakers!

I live in Brazil, so my native language is portuguese (no, it isn't spanish which is quite different), and I'm wondering what's the correct translation to thermal throttling?

Eu sou portugues e tenho usado o termo ingles desde sempre, mas se te queres referir a esse certo caso podes apenas explicar o que faz e dizer que lhe chamas Thermal Throttling

In English it means 

the computer intentionally slows down so the computer can try to cool off a bit.
