hi there im having trouble with my new laptop, it is a lenovo y520 legion gaming laptop and it has a geforce gtx 1050 with 2gb.

when i plug the hdmi port of the headset to the computer the headset use the internal gpu of the laptop instead of the geforce card and runs has asecond screen.

i tried playing with the configuration and even bought a type C to hdmi to try and define it to work with my graphic card but so far nothing seems to work...

Many laptops have their display outputs wired through the integrated graphics, which allows the laptop to switch between integrated and dedicated graphics and save power. But having the integrated graphics in the middle interferes with VR, where the headset must have a direct connection to the dedicated graphics.

Your laptop does not seem to be advertised as VR ready, which likely means it suffers from this problem. If that's the case, it is not going to work with a VR headset.
