Plasti dip my case

I would like to do a new project and i thought about painting my Fractal Arc Midi R2 with white plasti dip. What do you guys think? I've yet to see a white one, and i think it would be pretty cool. I might even do a "build log/casemod guide" if people are interested

It's a cool thing to do, altough I'm not really sure about the lifespan of the dip.

Hey dude I was also thinking about a similar thing onmy case instead just using normal spray paints. I guess this would be slightly easier and it does look pretty nice.

I think its easier and better to just paint it, much thinner coating.

I just like the idea that i can redo everything if i screw up

Could you not mask or fill the holes, possibly with screws, to stop this from happening?

Yes. Its part of painting. You could also chase the holes afterwards to avoid masking/filling.

A white Arc Midi R2 would look great. I'll be waiting for you in build logs.

In theory it is a great idea, but as people have pointed out the case won't fit together properly.

 

On the upside, if you can make it work, I painted my car wheels about 2 years ago, still looks like new.

In theory it is a great idea, but as people have pointed out the case won't fit together properly.

I will only be painting the outside of the case. That means sidepanels, top and front. Therefore it shouldn't be that big of a problem to make it fit back together.

I'd paint mine gunmetal, i just can't be bothered to take my system apart.
