I would like to do a new project and i thought about painting my Fractal Arc Midi R2 with white plasti dip. What do you guys think? I've yet to see a white one, and i think it would be pretty cool. I might even do a "build log/casemod guide" if people are interested :D

Hey dude I was also thinking about a similar thing onmy case instead just using normal spray paints. I guess this would be slightly easier and it does look pretty nice.

Is this the real life? Or is this just fantasy?

It's a cool thing to do, altough I'm not really sure about the lifespan of the dip.

Why not :D

If it survives on a car and a standard car wash I see no problem with a computer case :D

Expect everything to be hard as hell to put together again due to holes and stuff being smaller due to paint in screw holes and such.

Yea, one of my big concerns :/

I think its easier and better to just paint it, much thinner coating.

I just like the idea that i can redo everything if i screw up

Could you not mask or fill the holes, possibly with screws, to stop this from happening?

Would look like shit unless you cover them up somehow when you mount the fans.

the problem is that you have to cover EVERYTHING, every little screw hole, Motherboard standoff holes,  5.25 inch, PCI lane brackets ect,ect

Yes. Its part of painting. You could also chase the holes afterwards to avoid masking/filling.

In theory it is a great idea, but as people have pointed out the case won't fit together properly.

On the upside, if you can make it work, I painted my car wheels about 2 years ago, still looks like new.

Added about 3mm of Plastidip to the wheels

I will only be painting the outside of the case. That means sidepanels, top and front. Therefore it shouldn't be that big of a problem to make it fit back together.
