Checked through the list and it is wonderfully cost optimized for what you are getting. Well done I have to say. You could switch to a smaller SSD and add in a HDD while moving up to a 1060 6GB or over to a 580 8GB, but other than that awesome job at deal finding.

I guess you didn't look at the psu or mobo then ?

Would have suggested a different motherboard and PSU, but mostly was agog at the pricepoints they managed to fit together. Best line I could find on a PSU and Mobo would have brought them over budget if they stayed with current SSD choice.

The psu is awful. Don't spend money on a new system and then put a crap psu in there. You are just asking for trouble.

Even with no overclocking I would get a better board such as the ASRock B350 Pro or similar. That one has no vrm cooling at all.

It is your money to spend, but if it was me I would drop the ssd down to even 250GB - 500GB if it meant getting a better psu and board.

Possibly substitute in these components, smaller SSD, better PSU(higher rated), better motherboard, should decrease costs.

^^Yep something like that is much better. You would be good with a 450W psu though for that system.

Was attempting to select according to the forum's list -> HERE

Was attempting to take into account millisecond maximum draw spikes on the GPU as well there. If the 1080 has millisecond max draws stock of up to 311 Watts with an average of 173 then it seems probable that the 1060 will get into the 240-260W  millisecond max draw range.

You do realise that PSUs have capacitors in them...?
