random high GPU usage

Go to solution Solved by bandgeek12345,

with the high gpu usage and the changing to windows basic. it sounds like the (WEI) windows experience index is testing your system. windows will do this every so often when the computer idles or isnt doing anything gpu and cpu intensive. its normal. let it finish and everything should resolve itself. or goto task manager and kill the process. nothing to be scared about.

ok so i have a 7970 GHz and it has done this twice now where i have just been sitting hear browsing the web and all of a sudden it windows changes to windows basic and my gpu fans ramp up so i go on msi after burner and it is at 80% usage im runing a virus scan at the moment but do you think it is someone using my computer to mine ???? any ideas on what this is ??
