Not Posting

Im in the process of upgrading my GPU. Took the old one out, putting the new one in a few days. So currently im without a GPU. I hooked up the monitor with the motherboard and turned on the pc but no post on the monitor. All the peripherals are turned on, working fine I assume. The monitor and the cable both work, tested on another system. I dont know am I doing something wrong or whats going on.

Please help and thanks in advance

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H97-D3H

Hookup is VGA (currently the only cable i have except for DisplayPort)

Clear the CMOS, your board is probably still defaulting to external graphics (which currently does not exist). Some boards for whatever reason are still not smart enough to do this automatically. You would assume they would, but no. If not, put the old GPU back in, then set it manually in the BIOS to make sure integrated graphics is enabled and is given priority.
