Hello,

I would like some feedback on this new gaming rig i'm currently building.

My budget is € 1300 / £ 1100, going for mATX and the case will be Corsair 350D. I already own a graphic card (GTX 770) that will run in SLI when i buy my second one. The build will be used for mostly gaming and nothing else, i currently play videogames in 1080p resolution.

I don't need:

  • SSD
  • HDD
  • PSU

Any feedback would be nice, i want this build to be perfect :)

Thanks!

Dont get platinum (Unless you really like the look of them)

Get an i5 instead of i7 (4670k)

Hope I could help!

Change that 4770k to 4670k. Same performance and you won't need all the extras if you don't plan on doing serious editing. As a motherboard you might also want to consider the MSI Z87M Gaming. Quite a nice feature packed motherboard just like the ASUS one :)

4770k - get a 4670k

corsair dominator platinum - get something like ripjaws

770 - get a 780 for the money you just saved

also you can save on your mobo quite a bit with the gigabyte D3H for example, its still a very solid board.

I think you maybe should, or you should stay with a 770 and just upgrade something like the monitor instead.

The monitor will be upgraded later into 1440p. I just want want more FPS for BF4 and Crysis, beucase my GTX 770 is currently running 50 fps stable in ULTRA for BF4.

Yeah I get 50fps too. But with that 1440p, you'll lag a lot more. So I reccomend getting the monitor first, lower your settings, then upgrade to dual sli.

So should i sell my GTX 770 and buy the GTX 780 or keep my GTX 770 and buy another one for SLI?

Ah you have already one 770? you could save one your memory, mobo, and cpu, sell your 770 and get a 780ti, which delivers beast performance. Or a titan for 1440p gaming? not sure...

Yea, i already own one GTX 770 :)

SLI'ed 770's will perform better than a single 780/780ti, but you would still have those sli issues, i would probably sell the 770 and get a 780ti, after you saved the money on the other parts.

Also selling your 770 and going with a better gpu will be better for 1440p gaming. It really depends on the price you can sell your 770 for.

I will keep this in mind and look for how much i can sell my GTX 770. If i don't find any good offers i will just buy another 770 and SLi it ;) Thanks for all the help!

Just keep in mind: Sli and CF bring disadvantages like microstuttering(possibly, not necessarily), they consume much more power and cost also more than a single card that would perform the same, much more heat output in your case(you will need good case cooling) etc.
