my pc is connected to a 56-76hz 1080p monitor via a hdmi cable(i also have a vga cable, not connected though) but to play videos hd or full hd; on youtube or local video players,, there is an extremely noticeable effect where there are lines going across the screen horizontally(sort of like screen tear, or like horizontal flickering lines), which is most noticeable when the background is dark or contrasty, or moving. It is fine while typing this because little is moving and it's white background.

i don't have a gpu because i don't play games.and the monitor is brand new LG 22mp68vq ips led. i tried installing the driver for the monitor which was in the cd provided with the monitor.but still no change.

windows 7.1 ultimate(64bit) and intel i5 4460 cpu.

i'm kind of noob at these,so please help me out.

## i just found out that in windows media player i'm not facing this problem....only in other players and youtube ##
