Alrighty, so I don't know if anyone else has done this yet or bothered to make a post about it but here is my take on a drain loop in an aluminum water cooling system. So what I've done is I have found a mixture of acrylic parts that I think will be compatible with all of the EK Fluid Gaming fittings and will allow me to create a drain loop. This included finding an acrylic splitter, an acrylic female to female extension, and acrylic G1/4 plugs. The parts are all pretty self explanatory, but any questions you have I should be able to answer. To visualize the solution I made a quick sketch in my notebook that I've attached below. The link to all the parts as well as my next phase in my computer build is here.

I would just put a t block off a port towards the bottom of the loop then when you need to drain attach some soft tube in a bucket.

Thought of that but couldn't find any acrylic or aluminum ones that seemed to fit my needs.

It's not ideal since you will have a dead zone of fluid with very little flow, that area will collect junk potentially over time. You can easily use two sets of quick disconnects as a drain inline to your loop. One that is integrated inline and a second set you simply have on hand to attach and drain the loop with.

quick disconnects

Thanks for that. I had been looking for something like that that would work and couldn't find one. Guess I was looking in the wrong places or didn't notice it at first.
