Headset razer threshold

Go to solution Solved by liammccracken,

I have a razer kraken v2 and it came with a spliter cable in the box are you sure you don't have one?

Hello. How do I make sure that my computer recognizes my new headphones? It just says realtek hd audio output... It doesen't say Razer or anything like it does with my hyperx ?? Yes I connect my hyperX through USB but these razers only came with a regular 3mm, no usb at all.

also they are very heavy..... My neck hurts like wtf is that normal ?

AAnd, where are the drivers? How do I download them?

Thanks  a lot if you reply!

It won't say the brand if it's connected through Realtek through audio jack. The only reason your HyperX headset is recognised is because you've connected it via USB.

These are my headphones connected through the 3.5mm audio jack:

This is my Turtle Beach P12 headset connected through a USB port:

Headsets shouldn't be heavy enough to hurt your neck, what's the headset model?

You should be able to find drivers on Razer's website under the Software category.

What do you mean ? Razer thresher tournament edition

is all it says.

To use the mic I need a splitter right ?

Okay, so a Razer Thresher. If your PC has both speaker + mic audio jacks, then yes, you'd need a splitter to use the mic as well as the actual headphones.

Alternatively you could take an old USB dongle such as your HyperX's ones and try hook up your Razer headset to that.

Didn't work.

In general, wouldnt you say that usb is better than just 3,5mm ?
