i need help troubleshooting/finding out what the problem is to my computer that is causing it to randomly go black when doing anything on windows 7 ultimate 64 bit the computer hardware i am using is a asus p5k motherboard, intel core 2 duo e6750,corsair twin2 2x4 ddr2,gtx 770 also i have tried updating all my drivers and i have tried using hdmi and dvi cables

Lol core 2 duo with GTX 770. Upgrade the CPU first please....

yeah lol i got a gtx 770 from black friday and my uncle had spare parts and gave me the stuff for free but im upgradeing to a asrock z77 extreme 4 mobo,i7 3770k cpu and corsair domantior  4x2 drr3

Ah nice to hear bro. I really don't  know what the problem could be , possibly the CPU or ram that's dying because of it's age i think.

How could it be related to ram? Cpu I can see but ram wouldn't affect the video output to his monitor.

Don't get Dominators, they are just waste of money.

Don't bash the Core 2 Duo/Quad series, my Core 2 Quad Q6600 ran BF3 at 60+ FPS (on high).

 

EDIT: I'm on a FX 6300 now..

My old monitor used to have the same issue, i think it was a power delivery one because every time the something was plugged in it went off. 

 

Try using it in a different room/ socket, if the problem persists i have no clue how to help.
