Hey guys, i'm having a lot of trouble while playing battlefield 4. I'm pretty sure you all have heard about stuttering and freezing while playing this game. Well, i seem to have the same problem and i have tried almost everything.

I have unparked all my cores.

install dx11 from battlefield 4 folder as i was told that dice did not add it's installation to the game's setup. So we have to install manually. I did it my game got a little better. 5% improvement.

I even used user configs and disabled dx11 and stuff similar  to it but failed.

I read that running the game in 32 bit will help and it actually did A LOT but the stuttering is still there.

I even disabled SLI but it didn't do me any good. Right now i am running on 1 570. I've also added another 4GB ram ( 8gb in total)

oh and i have windows 7 64 bit and i don't plan on upgrading to windows 8.1 anytime soon so please don't tell me that :(

i know you said it, but upgrade to windows 8.1 or play with this shit fps. seems almost everyone who has problems with bf4 has windows 7, and many who have upgraded notice a performance increase.

I don't always have time to study, but when I do, I don't.

No! their is nothing wrong with windows 7, windows 8 has more problem than 7  is more stable than 8 by a long way and more game suport windows 7 over windows 8 so don't blame a game on what OS it is running on unless it is to with with a OS that is COMPLETELY different like Ubuntu to Windows 7.

don't worry it is not the OS BF4 works fine for me on windows 7 so don't listen to people saying that windows 7 is bad it's just because they think ow it's old and everyone should have 8 . news flash not everyone can A) afford 8 2) need 8 when 7 does just fine for them.

Have you got the latest Graphics card drivers?

Yes i have the latest nvidea drivers. Excluding the beta drivers.

What if it's just the game being bad? I mean if other games are working fine? sometimes the problem isn't just in your PC it can be simply cus of the game.

http://bf4central.com/2013/12/free-battlefield-4-dlc/

yes but not all people are facing this lag man. There must be a way to fix this crap :|. The free dlc would be nice for non-premium members.

i know you said it, but upgrade to windows 8.1 or play with this shit fps. seems almost everyone who has problems with bf4 has windows 7, and many who have upgraded notice a performance increase.

i know but people are playing fine on windows 7 as well so if they can play it with almost the same specs as i have then why can't i? :|

So please tell me some proper solutions. Anyone?

Did i say there is something wrong with W7? I agree, its a very good and stable os, just bf4 is better optimized for W8.

I don't always have time to study, but when I do, I don't.

maybe but it is eassier to fix problems with W7 as people know it better and how it works much better than W8

LOL BF4 problem. But seriously the same thing started happening to me on win8. I barely get 60fps with my 780 when before I was getting 80-90+ fps. Its not the OS. I think its just the game because in CSGO I get 300

  • 3 weeks later...

Look, it's BF4, it has a mind of it's own, it chooses who it wants to play at times.

BF4 was released too early, problems, glitches, broken areas, etc.

It still has super terrible bugs.

And I've seen people with superb PC's not being able to play it.

Don't worry about it, just try and try again.

[ Plus it's also kinda limited since they favor 64bit users.32bit users might have a ton more problems too ]
