Hi I have a dual sim card phone and I was wondering, if I add a second sim card, will I receive calls from both ? Or do I have to enable one then the other one? Also, can I forward both numbers to other at the same time to 2 differents numbers ?

Example :

Number 1 forwards to 000 000 0000

Number 2 forwards to 111 111 1111

but these 2 numbers are on the same phone (using dual sim)

Is this possible or do I have to buy a new phone in order to be able to do 2 forwards to 2 differents numbers ?

Thanks for your help

Does the phone carrier has to be "compatible" with this? I mean I'm chatting with them right now and apparently their things aren't working with dual.

Nope, both sims use their own antenna's. Usually 1 can use 2G/3G/4G while the other one is limited to only 2G (that's at least what it used to be, could be different now).

For the carrier they appear as 2 different phones because they send out a different IMEI.

So my Xiaomi Mi A 1 Should be totally fine with 2 Sim cards from the same carrier ?
