Wifi Recievers!

Hello,

I am currently planning out my plan of attack for cable management and was drawing where each cable would run across my desk. My PC uses a wifi card (ASUS PCE-AC55BT)

instead of ethernet connection. I was wondering if mounting a wifi receiver under a 3/4 inch wood desktop. Do you think that this obstruction would drastically affect my wifi connection?
