cannot update wraith prism firmware

I downloaded the wraith prism software and when I open it prompts me to update the firmware (the ok button is grayed out and i can only press the update fw so it's not optional and I have to update it in order to use the software).

the update is stuck tho. the progress bar is just empty. I left it open for a whole day and it still did do anything. and it says it should only take a minute. btw when it's updating the LEDs on the cooler just stop the effect and are static (normal since its updating the fw).

I got bored after a day and restarted the computer. the cooler wasn't bricked works fine with the rainbow effect so I opened the software and tried again with the same results
