Slow Boot Time

Hello!

My Pc boot into windows takes anywhere between 17.6 seconds (lowest) and 28 seconds (highest), with an average between 18.5-22 seconds. (Measured by "last bios time" in task manager)

Ive tried alot of what people said on other posts, but nothing really seemed to help. I DID however turn off "mch full check" and it went from an average of 28 to the current average boot time.
Anyone got any ideas? Any help would be appreciated!

Motherboard: Asus Z170-E
CPU: i7 7700K Overclocked @ 5.0Ghz
GPU EVGA Geforce GTX 1050 SSC
RAM: Ballistix Sport LT 2x8GB 2400Mhz 
PSU Fatal1ty 550W (Semi-Modular)
Windows HDD: 149GB Seagate ST3160815AS
OS: Windows 10 Pro (x64 Bit)

I don't think the bios time is accurate. My pc takes 2 mins to boot and it tells me 1 hour. If its correct, you still have a hdd. Buy a ssd if you want to boot up faster.

Well, i figured that i would have to soon. But just wanted to see if there was anything else i could to to decrease time without buying an ssd.

Bro, thats not really that slow, I've got a Ryzen 5 2600X pushed to 4.05GHz, 16GB of ram at 2400MHz, MSI B350M GAMING PRO mobo, and a ssd boot drive and it takes 30 seconds

A sub 30 second boot time on a spindle drive is really good IMO. You might cut some time if you want to invest in a good SSD.

 

On a side note if you think a 30 second boot time is slow....don't ever get into enterprise gear...
