TV monitor VS regular monitor

So I'm looking for a 24" monitor for my computer. It will be used for gaming but I don't really think 75Hz would be much better than 60. I am looking for a budget one and came across a nice sale for a Samsung "TV monitor". It is 1080p, 60Hz with 5ms response time. What's the main difference, except for the part that it can connect to cable TV etc. , between this and a similar spec monitor.

 

Speciffically it's this one: Samsung T24E390EW

 

Also it has a PLS panel. I was told it looks better than TN but a not as good as IPS. Is that true???

Mostly the differences are the resolutions it can display. Your computer monitors can typically do high resolutions.

there is no real difference as long as its true 60hz

Like they said there is no real difference. But it depends on what games you will be playing, most regular monitors will have a response time of about 2-7ms. A Tv monitor may have a response time of about 20- 70 ms. That's bad when it comes to fast pace games like CSGO Overwatch and other fast games of that Genre.

It's not that different from a normal monitor. It's basically like a normal monitor but with a TV tuner.

That one will work fine as a monitor, the previous version of it, the S24E390 had a panel overclockable up to 75Hz so I'd expect the same from this too.
