I'd personally spend the little money needed to jump to a 970 evo just to run 2 less cables in an SFF build. While the B3 450w is enough, I do think it's cutting it close and the 550w model is barely any more money.

Thank you for your response! I think the 860 is staying, the cables don't bother me. The 550w was on my list too, but the retailer from where i want to buy this parts doesn't have it in stock. Pcpartpicker gives me 293 Watts of power draw, i guess the 450 should be enough.

The 1070 Ti shouldn't cost much more than the 1070. ~25% more performance for not that much cost. Worth it if you can afford it. On a side note, try to get a higher end card than the Zotac Mini, as it doesn't have a great VRM.

The Core V21 is an mATX case, not sure why you would get an mITX board. A smaller case or a bigger motherboard would make more sense, imo. Since you're running 2666MHz memory and a locked CPU, a B360/H370/Q370 board is fine.

Don't get the B3, as it's a bit of a fire hazard. The Formula Gold 450W should cost roughly the same. 450W is absolutely plenty, even if you decide to get a 1080 Ti.

:)

Welcome to the Forum!

There are some things I would change. First I would get at least a 550W PSU for a GTX 1070.

The motherboard is way too expensive for this bbudget CPU!

If you don't want to overclock get something like an ASUS Prime H370m-Plus or ASRock H370M Pro4 for half the price and then pair it with an i5 8500.

If you want to overclock get the i5 8600K and pair it with something like the ASRock Z370M Pro 4. (Probably not the greatest overclocker but you can get a small performance boost)

Only buy a Z-Series motherboard when you have a K-Series CPU!

But the rest of the build looks fine to me.

The 1070Ti seems like a bit overkill for 1080p 60hz monitor. And if i go with the 1070ti the only one which is priced reasonably is still the Zotac but the amp extreme at 100 more euros (adding up to 505 euros) (amazon.de)

Thank you for the advice regarding the z-series. At the start of the build i was planning to get the 8600k and i never considered the motherboard again since.

There are cheaper Z370 motherboards then the one you picked. And in addition to that this Asus board is a mini ITX one while the case is micro ATX.
