Get all Mails from Mail-Server

Hi guys,

I have a simple question is it possible (and how) to view all mails from a domain even for addresses that dont exist?

Example:

My Domain: DoesntMatter.com

My Mail Address: Infos@DoesntMatter.com
But the mail gets send to Info@DoesntMatter.com (so basicly a typo)

Now is there a way to read this mail even though the address is non existing?

Thanks a lot in advance :)

If you send emails to an address that doesn't exist, you wont see anything as it doesn't exist.

Is that your question?

it may not exist but the mail server still gets the mail because its going to its domain. so you should still be able to capture it.

You can configure a catch-all address on most mail services, the catch-all will gather any emails sent to the domain that do not have a valid email account present.

I usually configure a catch-all address on a domain, then provide priviledged users on that email domain to have access to it so they can review any potentially legitimate yet incorrectly spelt emails addresses.

To add, for that case you can just add an alias that is probably a better solution for infos info etc.. If your system can't be configured to have a catchall you can use a frontend mail server to do it. This is somewhat of an invasion of privacy for your users (tho legal) and a dangerous thing to have so if you do do it.. make sure you protect it.

Oh yeah also.. spamers will also think their messages are getting through because they won't be rejected. So your spam rates will rise.
