I recently built my very first computer:

  • AMD Ryzen 3 2200G CPU
  • Antec 650 PSU
  • Aero ITX Radeon RX 550 GPU
  • MSI B350M Gaming Pro Mother Board

But I seem to be having multiple problems with my build like:

  • CPU Debug light flashes on and off while CPU heatsink stops and starts up. This only last a couple seconds.
  • When my GPU is plugged in there is no display to monitor connected via HDMI.
  • When I disconnect my GPU I get to the bios but when I click on the “continue, exit and continue to Windows 10” it takes me back to the BIOS.
  • CPU is running at 30 degrees Celsius under no load at all.

make sure the boot device is your boot drive with operating system installed.

unless you live in somewhere cold, 30C idle temperature is perfectly fine.

If you are having trouble booting try these steps first:

-double check all your connections, make sure that the connections are good and snug. Stuff like the mobo needs two sets of power plugs to be plugged in, that your cpu cooler is plugged in, if your gpu requires power as well if that is plugged in, double check if your ram is properly plugged in *look for the satisfying click* when you install ram.

-when you reach your bios, find the boot device order, make sure that the drive you are installing your OS on is first on the list.

-while you are on your bios, you can find a screen that lists the connected devices to the motherboard, make sure that your motherboard detects everything you plugged into it, (cpu, ram, drives, gpu...) If you don't see a device there then that might be where your problem is.

If you can get to you desktop follow these steps:

Install your drivers, start by going to you motherboard manufacturer's website and find your motherboard, then download all the latest drivers from their list. Then go to your GPU manufacturer's website, and download your GPU's latest drivers.

Cheers,

Hope this helps,
Pat

I connect the HDMI to both the GPU and the Motherboard and I get no signal from both while the pc sounds and looks like it is functioning properly.

Funny enough, the first time I put this together It ran normally and allowed me to install drivers without the gpu connected. But when I restarted the PC it never worked again.

maybe there's a 'preferred display' option somewhere in the BIOS
