Computer for college.

Hello all,

 

I am looking for recommendations for a laptop that I can use for school. I am starting in August for Cyber Security. I looked at the syllabus and it is saying that I will need to run a VM or two. I am looking for something either a desktop or a laptop, Either one is fine with me. I would like at least 8GB of Ram and an SSD. My Budget is 900 USD. Any help would be appreciated.

Do you need portability? If not, desktop is always a better option
