H100i + AM4 Socket

Go to solution Solved by airdeano,

you would simply follow the AM3 instructions to mount the h100i (non v2) to the AM4 motherboard:https://www.corsair.com/corsairmedia/sys_master/productcontent/49-000175_rev_AB_H100i_QSG_web.pdf

1x mounting bracket

2x links

2x thumb screws

I am trying to build my first pc and I have the  H100i cooler with a Ryzen 2600x.  There is no backplate for AMD that came with the cooler.  It has the mounting bracket but doesn't have the backplate.
Does anyone know of a video that can show me how to install the cooler or do you know if I need to special order a part to install the cooler?

You already have what you need to mount the cooler, just use the top left bracket in the last picture. It should have come with 2 silver hooks that go onto the plastic bits right above and below the CPU in the first picture. The square part goes on the plastic hook on the side facing away from the CPU and there should be a screw part that goes on to the metal piece.

I tried to do all this last summer and it was stupidly difficult to find any information about the h100i going on am4...
