I am looking into a future project. First gonna upgrade the cpu with also mobo and ram as it is necessary. Then maybe at the end of the year buy a gpu like the new turing cards and for last buy a monitor 2k 144hz in idk maybe may of 2019.

And mainly yes, it is for gaming, i play everytime of game, shooters, adeventure games ( I mean games like the witcher, far cry, assasins creed, games with a high demand on graphics) and more which i cant remeber. I can say that mostly my games are shooters.

As im making the upgrades not all in the same time, i would say like 600€. I was planning on wasting 620 on the cpu mobo and ram. And the graphics idk have to wait till it appears. Thanks for replying.

Investing money into a rig is not a "waste" even if you only use it for gaming.

Anyhow, looks like the 8700K would be your best bet if you want to go the long haul with your rig. However with the way RAM prices are atm, I'd try to get a good deal on a kit even if it requires waiting.

The 8700 is a solid CPU in and of itself.

However overclocking is easier than ever these days, and with a little homework practically anyone can do it. Don't be afraid of it.
