Good Cheap Graphicscards?

Supportsneedlove

I'm looking for a decently powerful card as i am buying a used PC that i will upgrade to an i7 950, 8 gigs of ram and, really all i need now is a decent graphicscard to go with it and i'm good, all of this is what you would call "Extremely Budget" As i'm looking at doing this for under 200 Euros (1000 to 1500 danish rubles).

Any ideas would be good, would prefer to order locally but Ebay could be alright if that the only place i can find it, although that would need to be in the EU (VAT free).

Cheers, David

if the rig you're getting has an i7 920/930 then don't bother with an i7 950 and look for a 6-core xeon instead and overclock.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W

the i7-950 uses LGA1366 not LGA1156 like the i3-530 so I doubt it will work

LGA1156 supported CPUs

lga 1156 boards don't support the i7 950 in the first place, they use different sockets. find an i7 8xx or xeon X3440 and higher instead.

I have a 6990 that works very well with my 930. But, you wont be able to use a 950 with your current i3. They are very different sockets. Just wanted to give you a heads up.

you might want to get an old PC off ebay, one with an xeon or i5/i7 for 50 Euro, and get a 760/770 or 960 for about 100 euro, Might be able to get a 970 within budget if you try hard enough

I mean what you were looking at on ebay, cause if that is it I would suggest looking else where maybe for something a bit newer

It's not from Ebay, it's from a local site.

750Ti?

You can buy an X3440 on Aliexpress for $18. Cheaper than the i7 and should perform better.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Asus-Geforce-Nvidea-GTX-750-Ti-Graphics-card/292619147952?hash=item442175dab0:g:dDgAAOSwdA5bMoWe

About 20 euro more than a local 660 which it looks like performs about the same

None of those are in the EU meaning i'll have to pay import tax which is more than the CPU itself.
