Storage and games

Hi guy so im going to buy a new SSD, probably an M.2 and i have question.

(maybe its dumb, my knowledge about that topic its not great sorry) Do games start or perform better/faster if they are placed in the OSs drive?

It doesn’t matter what drive they’re put on. It’s purely reliant on how fast the drive is.

Between an SSD and M.2, the difference isn't that noticeable. Between a HDD and an M.2, there is a big difference.

If you're using a mechanical drive and upgrading to an SSD, I'd recommend using it as your OS drive. Performance and startup of the OS on an SSD is night and day.

Yeah I already have a SSD with the OS installed there but its a 240gb one ( im running out of space ) and a 1TB HDD.

So yeah my main concern was if i needed to have games in the same drive as the OS.
