Aura sync lighting service uses a lot of cpu typically in short spikes. If your cpu is not that powerful, you might notice an impact either in your game or lights.

I have a Ryzen 7 1700x, x370-pro mobo, rog Strix rx580, msi gaming x rx580,16gb ram, 850watt psu

And like I said it worked fine yesterday when I was playing PoE. Nothing was changed so idk why it’s doing this

I lurk the ROG forums quite a bit and haven't found anyone happy with Aura. I usually give it a shot every time they come out with a new version hoping that this time will be different but so far I uninstall after about 15mins and just let the leds do what they want.

Is there a different program to control

them? Because I can’t change the led on my msi card because then my razer products stop working lmao. Maybe I should get a controller for my case fans? Idk I wish aura sync worked like it should. I never had any problems with it until yesterday. Would resetting cmos battery do anything?

I think you just have to be careful about which products you buy. I went with all corsair fans/peripherals (apart from a logitech mouse and a sennheiser headset) and then I have trident z rgb ram and an asus 1080ti so that it all plays well together.  Corsair's icue controls nearly everything but I let the mobo, ram, and graphics card just cycle. Anything on the 12v headers on the mobo just sync with it as it color cycles automatically.

Well everything does sync together. It’s just that the transitions between colors is choppy. But when the gpu is not synced then the color changes are normal. I’ve already updated to latest version and downgraded to what people said was a more stable version. I guess I could try reseating the card?

Sure, but I think this is purely software related.

That’s what I thought, but of course Asus support is adamant that there is nothing wrong with their software haha. It worked the first day I put the card in. Then the second day after about an hour or two it started looking choppy. Maybe I’ll try uninstalling and restarting and installing a fresh one again.
