More graphics card memory?

Now I know this has probably been asked millions of times and is probably a stunningly stupid question but, I've got a r9 270 and I was wondering if there's anyway to dedicate some system memory to it so it's more like say a 4gb card. Now I know there's problems like type of memory and stuff but I just wanted to ask and see if there's anything.

No you can only allocate more video memory if you're using the integrated video solution like an iGPU or APU where you'll give more video memory from the system ram.

 

A video card already comes packing the memory on itself, using its full potential but not allowing any upgrade method.

the graphic card uses system memory when it runs out of it's own dedicated video memory. So it already does what you want it to do, pretty much.

 

Problem is is that system memory is much smaller for gpu work. So using system memory will never make it behave like a card with more video memory
