That would be overkill, even for Linus.

You can build PCs like that on PCPartPicker all day every day if that's really what you want to do.

When you can find game that needs such. Maybe Cyberpunk 2077 becomes the next Crysis. But until then, we have Compensator builds. And the last one would still be overkill today. There's very few games which can handle more than 2 cores. None which would need more than 16gb of RAM. GPU is maybe, but only if you need to run multiple displays at ridiculous resolution and refresh rates.

 

Its different if you would be building something to run virtualization or do real number grunching.
