[Help] Gaming PC Build

Go to solution Solved by brownninja97,

~260 euros for the GPU, mine costs now 212 euros.

In-store R9 series: http://www.mindfactory.de/Hardware/Grafikkarten+%28VGA%...

In-store GTX series: http://www.mindfactory.de/Hardware/Grafikkarten+%28VGA%...

Your best bet is to stay with the current gpu that you are getting, its quite a monster of a gpu anyways. Maybe you could get another keyboard or mouse with the money you are saving or just buy games whichever suits your fancy.

So hello, I did a lot of research about hardware and PC builds, I've never build a PC before (putting a new Graphics Card/RAM onto a motherboard isn't building a PC right? :D). My budget is like maximum 750 euros. I wanted to ask some questions

CPU: Intel Core i5-4570 ~158 euros - I don't think I need to overclock the CPU to play new games and it's enough a 4570?

Cooler: CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Evo ~30 euros - My friend recommended me this one

MB: Asus H87-Pro (C2) ~87 euros - I don't think I need a Z-series mb since I won't overclock my cpu?

GPU: 2048MB Gigabyte GeForce GTX 760 Windforce 3X ~212 euros - Best GPU I've found, any cheaper and as good GPUs?

Case: AeroCool GT-R Black Edition ~67 euros - I found this case bc I was searching for a bigger case in which GTX 760 will fit, I like it and I don't think I want another :3

HDD: 1000GB WD Black WD1002FAEX 64MB 3.5" ~66 euros - I really want to know if it worths to pay 20 more euros or I should buy a Blue version for 40 euros?

SDD: I'll get one later since they're expensive now :3

RAM: 2x4GB Corsair Vengeance Black DDR3-1600 1.5V ~74 euros - Going straight with this choice.

PSU:  600 Watt Corsair CX Series Modular 80+ Bronze ~67 euros - Will I need more power?

And that's basically all, thanks in advice :3

You cant overclock(legally within warrenty) with a H87 motherboard, therefore the special cooler isnt needed. As your not even overclocking a special cooler isnt needed, its pointless. With that extra money get a 7970 or a gtx 770 if you can. get a caviar blue its better value.

cpu: intel i5 4670k @ 4.5ghz Ram: G skill ares 2x4gb 2166mhz cl10 Gpu: GTX 680 liquid cooled cpu cooler: Raijintek ereboss Mobo: gigabyte z87x ud5h psu: cm gx650 bronze Case: Zalman Z9 plus

Listen if you care.

What cooler shall I buy then? or intel's will fit good?

Don't bother going with the black it's not a good value. Go with a seagate barricuda or wd blue. I would also recommend buying the ssd now then the hdd.

Hyper 212 evo will be silent and good.

A lot of cases will fit a 760 I have never used an aerocool case so won't recommend it myself.

A 550w will be more than enough.

For the cpu I would say get an amd 8320/50 If you are not overclocking the 8350 will be a better option.

1. It'll be enough a 500gb WD Green 64mb cache, intellipower + 128GB SSD?

2. Ok, I'll get 212 evo.

3. What brands do you recommend for case?

4. In the store I'm going to buy from there is only 80+ Gold 550W PSU and it's 100 euros (from corsair - cx series)

5. I've never used an AMD CPU and it costs the same as the i5-4570. And if I buy AMD CPU I'll need another MB too :3

P.S Corsair Carbide Series 200R looks solid and it's cheaper

For a ssd I would see how much the kingston v300 is and  if you can get it.

The corsair 200r is a nice case.

Get the 600w you wont need more than that though.

The 8350 is equivalent to the 4670k and can be even better. if you want to buy the 8320 and put some other money somewhere else then that's also a good option.

am3+ motherboards support that cpu

Here are some

Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P

Asus M5A97 R2.0 or Asus M5A97 EVO R2.0

MSI 990FXA-GD65

Kingston v300:

60gb = 53 euros

120gb = 74 euros

I'll try the AMD and the Asus M5A97 EVO R2.0 motherboard :3

My main problem now is hdd and ssd

intels works fine unless you overclock, you dont need another one at all unless you are getting a very small case which you arent.

but I've been told that black is more performant and oriented for games

All modern hdds are pretty standard and have around the same failure rate, blacks fail less because less people buy them so there will naturally be less reports of it failing, its not worth the slight increase in speed, if you want speed get an ssd.

btw your gpu is 300mm or 30cm, im heavily againest Aerocool, a company like, Zalman, corsair, coolermaster, NZXT, fractal dsign, they all make much better cases, aerocool is known for cutting corners and with cases that is never a good think to do.

Majority of the modern cases can fit a 30cm gpu in them, a lot of companies tell you how long the gpu can be.

nonnonon dont get that board, its had serious bios problems, even with bios updates. Unless you are getting a sabertooth dot go with asus, they have some bad problems with them that they never fixed with the 970 and 990 chipsets. If you are getting an AMD board then gigabyte and msi are the way to go, take from me as i used that board for a customer, it didnt work and its definitely not an issue that i could of dealt with if it was my first build.

btw what MB Socket 1155 will be good for not overclocking? I'm not very confident about buying an AMD CPU.

z77= overclocking with between decent to amazing features

h77= not overclocking but pretty good features

h75(or b75)= not overclocking and standard features

h61= Shit at everything, kill yourself(note im currently using a h61, you dont want it)

I meant Socket 1150, sorry. I want to go with Asus H87-Pro.

Also about HDD & SSD: 1000GB Seagate Desktop HDD ST1000DM003 48 euros + 120GB Samsung 840 Evo Series 81 euros = 129 euros is ok?

My recommendation is to get a better graphics card instead of a ssd.

Better graphics card= Higher fps in games, depending on the application you can make rendering faster

Better ssd: Speed for starting and closing is faster, apps load very fast, moving files is stupidly fast.

As for motherboards with 1150 sockets(btw the chosen motherboard is fine)

z87= oc support, more support for usb 3.0, more fan headers, beefy heatsinks, more pci-e lanes

h87=no-oc support, limited 3.0 access, up to 5 fan headers, skimpy heatsinks, fewer pci- lanes

b85= basically h87 moer forced m-atx state, no crossfire/sli support

b81= Once again complete **** at everything, there is no reason to get it if you can afford a better board(only for major budgets).
