Music streaming server

Hi!

 

I have a large music collection (about 50GB) and I would like to be able to stream it over to my computer. I have a Raspberry Pi that I can use for that. Do you know any good ways to do this? I'd also like to be able to stream from outside my network if possible.

Well you could run something like a shoutcast or icecast, however they are streaming radio servers and may be not what you are looking for, but anyway something to consider.

Yes, it isn't really what I want, I don't wan't a radio, I want a way to access my music, it doesn't need to only be able to stream music but I wan't a way to access my files and music.
