I have fixed the issue partially now(I think). The problem arose a few days ago when my monitor went black then came back at its lowest resolution, every time I went to the geforce experience the monitor would go to no signal and I would have to turn off the monitor and turn it back on. When I went to the Nvidia Control Panel I saw that the monitor was labelled Digital Display instead of its correct name, In the resolution section it allowed me to pick all of the normal resolution however it said that the lowest res was Native and when I selected 1680 x 1050 the screen flashed and... nothing happened it just stayed at the lowest res. To fix the issue I went into custom resolutions and made my res 1679 x 1049. The result was that it stayed at the lowest res but then when I selected 1680 x 1050 it worked!

The monitor is still labelled as Digital Display but my resolution is normal again... This sh*t is weird. If its my gpu messing up than that's fine because I ordered my new gpu a few days ago Woot.

Oh also when I uninstalled the nvidia drivers everything went black and when I restarted my pc it as at normal resolution but when I reintalled latest drivers it was automatically forced back down to lowest res

Anyone now what happened?
