Gpu doesn't do anything in blender

Hi everyone

First off, I'm not sure if this is the right thread so if not, please move or delete this topic.

Blender doesn't seem to recognize my amd hd 7950, I know that the latest update ditched gcn 1.0 so I installed 2.78 which reportedly does support my gpu.

When I select my gpu (not sure when it's selected, the light gray or dark gray)

It doesn't change anything, while rendering fluid my gpu doesn't do a single thing.

Am I doing something wrong?

Please help me.
