It's usually better to have two systems, one for gaming and one for encoding and streaming.

This way, you don't lose performance on your gaming rig.

I mean I always recommend people who arent already relatively "big" streamers but still have a lot of budget in mind to just got for a Ryzen 1700x/ 2800 system, as you dont lose much gaming performance, and you save way much more. Even with the money saved you can always just switch the motherboard and cpu.

solved jus needed confirmation bcuz my wife thinks my setup can stream n game off the same system but I think not

If your i5 is Devils Canyon or newer, then it sure can. Not 1080p60, but it will be able to do 720p60. You have even options to move encoding load either to GPU or iGPU if horsepower for some reason isn't enough.

And if it still isn't enough, you could get capture card. You would need one anyway since modern PCs don't have video input ports. A basic capture card is $70-100, advanced (like Blackmagic stuff) goes from $150->

As logical DRM said, you can use your graphics card.

Nvidia shadowplay has a streaming method built in.

I’d find a tutorial on YouTube for how to stream with shadowplay. I think NVIDIA and Asus had a shadowplay campaign for the for honor game.

It should do you well. Shadowplay is used by all the rust youtubers & streamers I’ve seen. (kcmo, Ramsey, blooprint, suspectTV) so I’d say it’s worth its weight.
