Hello.

I recently built a new computer, somewhat decent specs.

CPU: i7 8700k

GPU: Windforce 1080 GTX (Gigabyte)

Cooler: Kraken x62

Case: S340 Elite White

The problem I'm running into is, when I am playing games, the fans are REALLY loud, almost near vacuum level.

Now, I'm not a hardware expert by any means, but from looking at my CPUID Monitor, temperatures are only near 40C, give or take 5C.

Are the fans supposed to be this loud? Any help is appreciated.

that seems a bit excessive given the temperatures. have you tried setting a different fan profile in the BIOS? usually there is a 'silent' setting in there.

otherwise, if you are feeling more adventurous you could try SpeedFan, tough that is pretty tough software to fully master.

Looks like your fan profile is on "Performance" mode. Try putting it to balanced or silent to get low noise.

Thank you everyone for the tips, I will try some.

How do I change my fan profile? Through the BIOS? I'm pretty sure I have set all my fans to silent, didn't help at all though.
