Ram slots

Hi so i’m confused about the ram slots. I have 4 so 1 2 3 4 can i put my 2 ram stick on ram slots number 1 and 3 or 2 and 4? Can i choose either of those?

If you have 2 sticks of ram, and 4 slots, put your ram sticks into slot 1 and 3, so you get the effect of dual channel. It will also work with slots 2 and 4.

What motherboard? It's usually 2 and 4, but look at your motherboard's manual it should mention exactly what you're looking for

If ytou have the manual for the motherboard it should tell you what slots to put them in to take advantage of dual channel. It should usually be the slots that are a differeny colour though e.g. If your motherboard has blue and black slots, u should use the blue slots.
