I am going to college this fall semester, and I am looking for a laptop that has some particular specifications and is reliable. I am majoring in engineering.

What it needs to be able to do program-wise:

- Run Microsoft office products

- Run some programming/logic programs (MatLab, Arduino, etc.)

- Take notes

- Possibly do some basic Adobe product stuff like Photoshop (But I have a good desktop computer as well, so it isn't a complete necessity)

Hardware preferences:

- Long battery life (8hrs+?)

- Dedicated GPU (3-4gb vram?)

- 8gb - 16gb ram

- Intel CPU (most likely, considering AMD usually takes more power and I want longer battery life)

- OS on an SSD

- 1 Tb total of storage or more (SSD + HDD)

BUDGET: under $1300

If possible on the lighter side, but I don't really care that much. I want a reputable brand of laptop that will hopefully last me at least a couple of years. And I don't care about the color.

You could go for the 1060 or 1050ti, your preference. Both are on sale.
