One thing I would change is not go for a Z series board with a locked cpu, unless you're absolutely sure you're going to be upgrading to an 8700k later (which I wouldn't personally do with a 400 watt power supply)

the perfect advantage about building a computer that you can change anything anytime :D

i will upgrade to i7-8XXXK gen. and a better PS sooner or later.

but is it good for now ?

this is fine, just not understanding why you're getting an i5 8400 when you know you need (want) a i7. If you feel like you're gonna be able to sell your i5 for a decent price then yeah, but if you don't like dealing with the used market (eBay, craigslist, etc) then I would just save a tiny bit more and get your i7.

If it's just gaming, there's not too much incentive to get the i7 and I would improve your gpu before anything else

Drop to a R5 1400 CPU and B350 asrock pro4 mobo.

Grab a mx500 crucial 250GB SSD instead.

Grab a seasonic focus gold 550/650 watt focus gold PSU

The extra cash should allow for a GTX 1060 3/6GB

Whats your budget?

Two years ago I would have said stay the hell away from AMD but I'd recommend looking in that direction before you purchase an intel CPU. Next, I think you're going to be happier in about 6 months (+) when prices drop on things like RAM and GPU's. I'd also like to know your budget so I can see If all of your money is being allocated correctly. Also, you might want to get a HDD so you don't only have 120 gb of storage. SSD's can be nice for booting off of, but when you have no storage for games because thats all you purchased you'll be sorry. Finally, check out pcpartpicker to oranize EVERYTHING relating to your pc build.

PCPartPicker part list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Hn42tJ

Motherboard: MSI - Z370-A PRO ATX LGA1151 Motherboard

Use pcpartpicker.com.

Case only has one fan. In my opinion two fans are required for decent airflow.

Memory module count, speed and timings not provided. Unable to rate a system without this data.

I would suggest that 240GB is the minimum practical size ssd for boot, system, and programs.

There are less expensive GTX 1050 Ti gpu.

Xigmatek is not known for high quality psu. The listed unit is only 80+. I'd suggest a more efficient (80+ Bronze) and better quality psu.

Regardless of intentions, the chances that one will actually upgrade the cpu on the same motherboard is likely zero. If history is any guide, within a year or two newer and more powerful cpu will be available and it will not make economic sense to buy a previous generation model. Besides, the i5-8400 is a pretty powerful cpu and more than enough paired with a GTX 1050 Ti.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

If you can manage to get it for its price then you have a very good build. Though drop down the 1070ti to a 1070 or 1060 6GB since i dont know the price in lebanon.

I believe amazon ships world wide

Does it cost 50-70$ while sporting good VRMs for future builds? Thats kinda why the pro4 is amazing.

You can probably chose that one aswell, but keep in mind the pro4 is probably cheaper. And we want that tasty gtx 1070
