So, specs are in signature. Ever since i popped that battery out of the mobo, my pc will not post in one shot...it gets to the windows 10 screen before the password then freezes, hit restart on case either post's or samething. When i do log in, and if i hit restart on the start menu, no issues getting back in, only from a shutdown.

Before i popped this battery out, it never did this either.
I have tried loading into a factory preset config in my bios, like defaults, and fast boot is not on either.

no, and honestly not quite sure the best way, do i do it through the bios, or do i simply download one of the many packages on gigabyts website, and just install? Never had to update one.

I didnt know gigabyte has a bios update feature through bios too, i used the one from asus, was quite easy and didnt had to use a USB stick.. it literally done everything on its own, so i can tell the asus feature works very well. Makes it easy. So assuming Gigabyte has a feature and it works similar it should be safe to use, but you should maybe google it beforehand just to make sure xD

Updating your bios is mostly a good thing. Sometimes a bios version isnt good and newer verions often are more stable, can reach higher overclocks or include microcode updates for your CPU like anti spectre stuff..
