That is DDR3 ram so you are limited to Intel Haswell and AMD's FX series, as well as some Xeon and Opteron processors. I suggest selling the ram for around $100 - $120 AUD, and then using the money to buy a Ryzen 5 2600, 1060 and 8 - 16GB of ram, depending if you can fit it in your budget.

Just buy a Ryzen APU PC and toss in a GPU later when pricing isn't crazy or you get a good deal on a used GPU.

Could add a 240GB SSD

Try to find the Q300L case

You're going to need new RAM for any modern system.

GPUs atm are stupidly over priced atm, if i wish i could get 2nd hand ram and a GPU at a decent price but she's really bound for time i'd rather just get some average as GPU that can run games and upgrade and get a decent 2nd hand GPU later do you have any suggestions for best bang for buck cards?

A 1060 6GB offers great budget value, later you should upgrade to a 1070 Ti if you can. It may be overkill, depending on settings and resolution, but will be a great card for you. 1060 would be perfect in the meantime, and you can score deals quite often on Newegg.

Desktop: Intel i7-8086K, Asus ROG Maximus X Code (probably, still can’t decide), NZXT Kraken X62 280mm, Asus ROG Strix 1080 Ti, G.Skill Ripjaws V 16GB (2 x 8GB) 3000MHz, Corsair CX750M PSU, be quiet! Dark Base Pro 900 Inverted, Samsung 960 Pro M.2 PCIe 500GB SSD, Samsung 850 Evo SATA 250GB SSD, WD Black 1TB HDD.

Laptop: Coming Soon

Peripherals: Razer Deathadder Elite Chroma, Razer Ornata Chroma, HyperX Cloud II Headset, Corsair Very-Large Mouse Mat

To be honest the PC it self is about 8 years old theres nothing i'd use off it, the case is just ruined massive marks and settlement all over it the mother board is done, the GPU got tea spilled on it, it was a miracle  it still worked for as long as it did the HDD will be used in the new PC but along side a new one, as the old one is fill, and the PSU is pretty dodgy it dosn't work some days and other days it goes fine

yea i was thinking of getting a 1070TI actually but i might just go with the 1060 for now and wait for things to drop off in price or get a 2nd hand one in the future.

The APUs can run a lot of games without a graphics card, should just give it a try, and if it's not good enough then add a current GPU

Is this a good choice, i'm really agasint pre build PCs but shes needs it quick.

for $900 it's overpriced imo, if she needs it quickly another option is to get the parts directly from a store instead of ordering it online.

we live in a pretty small town with no real means to getting PC parts the closest main city is about 2 hours away also she needs to pay for it online or via a store and her school will pay for half of it. but is she gets the parts and builds it they wont pay for any of it.
