USB Version Compatibility?

Go to solution Solved by emosun,

no , they wouldn't release an entire standard that had that massive of a problem. now if whoever implemented the standard on your device did it wrong , then maybe there would be a problem. but as a whole no , the standard is backward compatible as it states.

This isn't really a mouse or keyboard post, but it could be, I suppose. I've heard whipserings that USB 2.0 compatible devices don't perform right on USB 3.0. Can anyone confirm or deny this with some reasonable evidence? I got a USB 2.0 compatible Bluetooth dongle and it doesn't work right in appropriate ranges on a 3.0 connector. At any rate, I'd like to get it to work, but it may just be as simple as updating drivers. I'll update this post regarding that. Regardless, I'm still curious about the USB version compatibility.
