ok so when i play a uplay game through steam once i close it i have to then close steam and uplay for it to say that ive stopped playing ive played trails evolution for one hour in reality but steam says 24 hours coz of this. why does this happen

does it matter? Steam only checks that you opened u play not the actual game so in order for it to register that you stopped you need to close uplay

Because not only we must deal with 1 retarded DRM client, we now have to deal with 2 at the same time, maybe 3 in the future. I hate all of them.

 

I sometimes run into the same thing that you did when I play Far Cry 3 which is also on UPlay. Steam thinks I am still playing the game if even only UPlay is running. So if I happened to close Far Cry 3, to relaunch it, I must either relaunch from UPlay, or shutdown UPlay and launch from Steam. I just stopped giving a damn about it really.
