So ive been planning a system build, on pc part picker: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/NcmWcY

in the incompatibility section it says I may need a separately available mounting bracket for the hyper 212 cpu cooler..

where can I find that bracket? or should I just get a different cooler?

You'll need to get the new bracket usually you would need to contact or purchase from them directly, see if a retailer supplies it as an upgrade kit.

@W-L

Yeah I could...

What about just getting something different like the Hyper 212 LED Turbo? https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16835103241

or the Hyper T4? https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103182&cm_re=cooler_master_hyper_t4-_-35-103-182-_-Product

thanks!

Both would be AM4 compatible out of the box, the T4 is decent but has a smaller and thinner fin array so it doesn't cool as well as the Hyper 212 by a small margin. If your planning on overclocking the Hyper 212 would be slightly more capable than the T4.

Since I don't Plan on over clocking ever i'll go with the t4.

thanks for the advise!

The 1600 comes with the Wraith Spire which is a decent stock cooler. There's no need to buy an aftermarket cooler or paste.

Sickleflows are mediocre at best and probably not worth getting. No case?

The case comes with a preinstalled rear 120mm exhaust which is fine for cooling already. You could add an additional front intake for better cooling although it's unnecessary. https://pcpartpicker.com/product/fkCwrH/be-quiet-case-fan-bl046

What's the system being used for? Is there anything else you've already ordered?

Could swap out a few more parts to lower the total cost: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/WpNZcY
