ok so i could use something like silicon just silicon is harder to remove?

And also can prestik be used or is there something different from prestik and art eraser bc i dint find anething on the internet and prestik is cheaper that art eraser but i don't want to go and try prestik and it has something that will make it break up or something.

i think i manly want to know is whats so different from prestik and art eraser for me they feel the same but prestik is a lot cheaper here where i am.

If your referring to this it looks like it might work as it’s just a putty compound but only way to find out is testing. Main thing you don’t want is for it to delaminate from the surface due to temperature changes or weep out a grease or film which some sticky tact may do overtime.

You can use silicone I guess, before and even still now some like to use dielectric grease in the socket and around it to help with preventing condensation.

hi this is probably a stupid Q but why do you use art eraser for sub zero cooling and not prestick or will prestick work

just wondering because art eraser is costly and making it from normal erasers is a lot of work

It’s mainly for insulating purposes, to prevent frost. It’s ideally recommended to use a conformal coating on the board and some closed cell neoprene but many still use the nedable eraser trick.
