External HDD Temps

Hi guys i was thinking of returning my Seagate Backup Plus for a warranty since the temps is not normal and having some preformance issue.

 

I just want to consult if this is reasonable to ask for a warranty and should they honor this kind of issues. Additional info that is a idle temps on load if go up update 56

oh ok Thanks for the feedback.  But that is a idle temps. the ex hdd on H: is also Seagate Backup plus same specs and model but temps are different. Will check what others have to say.

For idle temps I would consider them to be rather high, but it depends on the model of drive. When transferring data they do get very toasty since they have 0 airflow.
