1803 windows update problem

I am not able to update to the latest Windows 1803 build. update stuck at 49% and it shows the error regarding hybrid GPU.

Device : Alienware 15 R3

GPU : GTX1060

Delete all your updates and try again.

I have done it twice

it is just redownloading the update again and again

Make sure your graphics cards drivers are fully updated, that your BIOS/UEFI is updates, and your chipset drivers are fully updated.

If you have ANY security software, uninstall them (beside Windows Defender) and if you have any system utilities like fan control, overclocking, graphic switching software (beside Nvidia Control Panel), remove them. Restart your system, and now try.

 

If that doesn't work, than it could indicate that your system is not ready for this version of Windows, and you need to wait for ASUS, Nvidia and/or Intel to update their drivers.

 

You can try your luck by doing a clean install if you don't want to wait, and hope it all works well, if not you'll need to use your system restore diosk to restore the system back to the old version of Windows, until a new update that makes your computer compatible, is released.
