Hello,

I have tried to issue a static ip address to my PC, but failed to do so because it was asking for unicast ip address.

Since then i updated my router to a newer firmware, this is where the problem started.

After the update my PC couldn't connect to my router, it just says couldn't connect to network.

The router works just fine with all other devices and my network card can also connect to all other networks, but they dont connect to each other.

I have tried resetting the router and network settings, reinstall the firmware on router, reinstall driver on my network card.

Nothing worked!

Router - Dlink-Dir 816

Network Card - Tp-link TL-WDN4800

Thank you

Static WAN or static LAN?

Assigning a static address to your PC needs to be within the same subnet as the LAN interface on your router.
